Frankenstein at the V&A Museum

A unique, immersive production created specifically for the National Art Library by Pure Expression theatre company.

24 April 2018 – 28 April 2018 | Visit website

To mark the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the V&A Museum is staging a unique, immersive production of Frankenstein in the National Art Library as part of the V&A’s Performance Festival 2018. Created specifically for the National Art Library by Pure Expression, a theatre company that specialises in retelling classic stories in libraries, museums and heritage spaces, there is an audience of just one person at a time. Participants listen to a powerful soundtrack and at the same time explore extraordinary items from the 'Frankenstein Family Archive'.

The National Art Library is a beautiful gothic space at the heart of the V&A in Kensington. It is the ideal place to take a journey through the memories of Victor Frankenstein and explore his life through a series of beautiful objects.

Frankenstein at the V&A runs from 24 - 28th April at 1.00-5.30pm every day. Drop in and start whenever you like; the experience lasts approximately 45 minutes.
