Greenwich Book Festival

A brilliant, eclectic mix of events with something for everyone, set in the gorgeous grounds of the University of Greenwich.

15 June 2018 – 16 June 2018 | Visit website

This young London festival seeks to reflect the best of the city around us. The wide-ranging programme aims to be inclusive, welcoming to all ages and diverse. But also affordable – with open access to the site and free events, as part of the rich mix. Along with the festival events, you will find a popup Waterstones, food and drink stalls and entertainment.

Every book is a journey of discovery. Intimate in scale, though grand in setting, Greenwich Book Festival aims to give audiences a unique opportunity to hear from authors they admire, but to also discover emerging voices, bold ideas and new experiences too. Highlights this year include Friday night’s big Festival Party, this year celebrating women writers with the brilliant Diana Evans, Paula McLain, Imogen Hermes Gowar, Lissa Evans and Louise Candlish on the panel; Paddington Storytelling with Vanessa Woolf, celebrating 60 years of Paddington and Greenwich 100: Local heroines (and heroes) of the Women’s Suffrage Campaign, a free public talk to complement the Greenwich100 Exhibition ‘Beyond the Suffragettes’, which is touring venues across Greenwich during 2018, and is on display during Greenwich Book Festival.

Greenwich Book Festival is hosted by the University of Greenwich. Most Festival events will be held in Queen Anne Court on 15 & 16 June. For the full festival programme visit the website.
