Halloween Friday Late - Handel & Hendrix

Handel and Hendrix presents a night of music in two historic houses

27 October 2017 | Visit website

In association with Sabat Magazine, Handel & Hendrix in London bring you a Halloween event inspired by the supernatural stories of their two historic houses. Part of this October’s Museums at Night, this will be an evening of live music, performances and interactive activities to celebrate the darker sides of the lives and music of Handel & Hendrix.

On the first floor, in Handel’s Music Room, a narrative will unfold from performances of some of Handel’s more otherworldly operatic pieces. On the second floor, Handel’s bedroom – the room where the great composer died in 1759 – will be taken over by the Art Macabre. London’s purveyors of life drawing with a theatrical twist invite you to sketch visions from Handel’s dreams and nightmares conjured up within his bedroom. Capture in pencil a duo of Georgian ghosts at this dark drop-in drawing salon and create a unique memento to take home.

Up on the third floor, where Hendrix lived in 1969, visitors will have the opportunity to feel the spirit of Jimi back in 23 Brook Street for an evening. We will be playing vinyl from Hendrix’s record collection and there will be surprise live performances through the night.

All of this, plus special Halloween cocktails at our pop-up bar.

Handel & Hendrix on the 27 October 2017 at 25 Brook Street, London W1K 4HB.  Tickets are £20.
