Horse Whispers by Johny Dar

Discover the story behind this unique art series, as it has never been told before…

21 June 2018 – 31 July 2018 | Visit website

Horse Whispers is an artistic tribute to the spirit of the horse and its timeless connection to humankind, and an unforgettable story of faith and inspiration. Horse Whispers features Arabian Stallion, Bader, the first horse ever to be body painted for a photo series, hand-painted and photographed by Johny Dar.

Every look was crafted depending on Bader's mood on the day he was painted - made possible through an intimate process that occurred between Johny and Bader, as Bader came to trust Johny and the process of being painted, and Johny came to understand the different sides of Bader's personality. The result is an extraordinary collection of images, each with its own distinct whisper of inspiration…

Horse Whispers has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Beijing, and in Berlin, as a groundbreaking collection of expressions in body art. Horse Whispers remains a timeless expression of art and nature, a touching story of collaboration, and a special friendship that blossomed in between.
A brand new hard cover Horse Whispers book will be exclusively available at this exhibition.

Horse Whisper by Johny Dar is at the Sofitel London St James. To attend the preview event on 21 June including live music and cocktails please RSVP to H3144-SL2@sofitel.com. The exhibitions continues until 31 July.
