IDENTITY

A celebration of east London’s eclectic dance and fashion cultures

12 April 2018 – 14 April 2018 | Visit website | Book tickets

IDENTITY brings fashion and dance crashing together to celebrate east London’s unparalleled creativity.

East London Dance and Shoreditch Town Hall invite you into a world of east London grit and glamour as the majestic Victorian Assembly Hall is converted to create a pulsating gig-like atmosphere where dance and catwalk collide. Directed by maverick choreographer Tony Adigun, IDENTITY will shine a light on the compelling new artistic voices bursting from east London.

Infusing hip hop, breaking, voguing, krump, waacking and contemporary dance with their own unique styles Avant Garde Dance Company; Ffion Campbell-Davies & Julia Cheng of House of Absolute; Houston Dance Collective and Rugged Estate will challenge preconceptions of sexual, cultural, gender and ethnic identity. Collaborating with fashion stylist Sabrina Henry and costume & textile designer Lee Yaroshevski these dance artists will bring you a slice of east London culture and creativity that defies conformity.

IDENTITY is at Shoreditch Town Hall 12 – 14 April, Tickets £15 (£12.50 concessions)
