In The Footsteps of Mary Seacole

As part of Black History Month 2017, Infallible Productions and Draper Together are proud to host In The Footsteps of Mary Seacole an afternoon with Professor Dame Elizabeth Nneka Anionwu and Cleo Sylvestre. Elizabeth and Cleo will discuss what it was like to be mixed- race in Britain before Windrush.

Cleo will perform excerpts of her acclaimed one-woman play about Mary Seacole and Dame Elizabeth will talk about the historical research that brought about the erection of the Mary Seacole statue in the grounds of St. Thomas' Hospital.

This event, suitable for all ages, will be followed by a Caribbean-style BBQ included in the entrance price with jerk chicken, rice and peas and at least one vegan alternative.

In The Footsteps of Mary Seacole: talk, show and Caribbean BBQ is at Draperhall 50/57 Hampton Street, Corner of Newington Butts London SE17 3AN 15th October at 4pm. Tickets from £6 adults and £4 children.
