Kamiak High School Band Concert

Playing at St John's Smith Square during their Spring Break tour

Under the direction of Toby Bathurst, the Kamiak High School Band, hailing from Mukilteo, WA, will be performing a unique and exciting concert in London as part of their Spring Break tour. The band has previously marched in many high-profile events such as President Bill Clinton's Inauguration Parade in Washington DC, and the St Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin. Their concert will be opened by the NYJO Academy Big Band (NABB) led by Sebastiaan De Krom. The NABB features some of London’s best emerging young jazz talent, and has previously performed at the Royal Albert Hall and the Vortex Jazz Club.
 
All proceeds from the St John's Smith Square concert will support Music in Hospitals & Care. The charity's mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children with all kinds of illness and disability through the joy of live music, arranging community performances in hospitals, hospices, day care centres, special schools and care homes.
 
Kamiak High School Band are playing at St John's Smith Square,London, SW1P 3HA on Monday 9th April at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £10 (concessions £6), and are available to book via telephone (£2.75 transaction fee on 020 7222 1061) or on the website: www.sjss.org.uk (£1.75 transaction fee).
