Man Booker 50 Festival
Man Booker 50 Festival

Man Booker 50 Festival

Celebrating five decades of literary brilliance.

6 July 2018 – 8 July 2018

Celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the prize, the festival will introduce new audiences to its winning, shortlisted and longlisted authors throughout a weekend of debates, panels and masterclasses featuring more than 60 speakers from the prizes history. Speakers will include 17 winners, from Kazuo Ishiguro to Paul Beatty, and the weekend will culminate in the star-studded Golden Man Booker Live on the Sunday night.

Distilled from five decades of the finest fiction, this singular festival promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of literary brilliance. Such a rare convergence of world renowned writers spanning genres, geographies and decades of the Man Booker Prize signifies an important moment to take stock of why novels matter and how they have captured our changing world over half a century.

The Man Booker 50 Festival is at the Southbank Centre from 6 - 8 July. Tickets can be booked here.
