★★★★ The  Financial  Times
“Extraordinary....a super-saturated sensory feast of movement, sound and imagery."

Be dazzled by bright lights, superhuman dancing and pounding music. Enjoy the glamour of beautiful bodies and the glittering lifestyles of music videos. But what ugly secrets lie behind the media mask? For critical readers of the media and those with a keen eye for Illuminati symbolism in mainstream pop culture, MK ULTRA explores the conspiracy of mind control hidden in plain sight.

Combining dance, projected visuals, film and music, this is a new kind of performance for the age of Fake News and post-truth. This is the second time MK ULTRA will tour to London.

MK ULTRA is the CIA code word for a real LSD-fuelled brainwashing technique developed by the US military. Popular conspiracy theory believes that MK ULTRA has infiltrated the culture industry and is still active today... and programmes certain pop stars as puppets of the ‘Illuminati’, a shadowy elite intent on creating a New World Order of authoritarian world government.

MK ULTRA is visually arresting, with costumes from Lady Gaga’s designer (and Central St Martins graduate) Gary Card, a gold mirrored stage, hypnotic triangular projections by Louis Price, a pulsing soundtrack of American trap music and a mesmerising score by electroacoustic composer Annie Mahtani.

★★★★ The Observer
“a postmodern  fantasia...MK ULTRA asks important questions about the real and the  fake, and whether, for a new generation, they’ve become one."

MK Ultra is showing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Southbank Centre on 8 November as part of a wider UK tour.
