WORLDRECORDS by Kai Schäfer

HENI Gallery present an exhibition and book by the celebrated German photographer combining his greatest passions, music and photography.

1 June 2018 – 30 June 2018

WORLDRECORDS celebrates some of the very best and most distinctive albums in music history, each one beautifully captured on an iconic turntable. Featuring albums such as David Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures, Kraftwerk’s Tour de France, Miles Davis’s A Kind of Blue, Prince’s Purple Rain and The Clash’s London Calling, the photographic series is a visually sumptuous homage to music, art and design. Commemorating the art of analogue, Kai Schäfer’s sharp, oversized images perfectly encapsulate the details and nuances of the vinyl and the record players.

WORLDRECORDS is on show at HENI Gallery and the book is published by HENI publishing.
