London’s Best Florists

20 March 2019 Billie Manning

Just in time for Mother’s Day, we’ve collected a helpful list of the best places to scoop up the most beautiful blooms in town. We’ve included a florist in every corner of London, so no matter what side of the river you're on, you'll be able to find bunches of bunches.

East London: Rebel Rebel Flowers
Rebel Rebel have been going for almost 20 years, and they’re rebelling just as much as they were when they started, winning the Gold Award For Innovation Chelsea In Bloom just last year. Having moved out of their Homerton Spar home recently, they now have a spanking new shop in the Mare Street Market open seven days a week. The arrangements Rebel Rebel create definitely live up to their name: this is the place to go if you want bouquets that are creative, cool and have a wild touch about them.

Central London: Nikki Tibbles Wild At Heart
If you’re looking to make a statement with your romantic declaration, or if your mum deserves a real luxury treat, you need to visit Wild At Heart. Renowned for their opulent approach to flowers, Wild At Heart is the place for huge bunches of velvety, pale pink roses and elegant bouquets of lilies. Classic but modern, Wild at Heart can be found in multiple locations, including the entrance of Liberty London, Notting Hill and Pimlico.

West London: Gilding the Lily
South Ken-dwelling florist Gilding the Lily is one of those true local treasures, popping up on the corner by the tube a good 23 years ago and never moving since. Its Dutch founder, Joost, began by literally driving to Holland every week in order to claim the best, freshest blooms at the Rijnsburg flower market and though tiny, the florist still has a big reputation for great flowers.

North London: Urban Flower Company
This independent botanical flower and plant studio in North London creates unique designs in a signature natural and unstructured style. Each week we will design a new bouquet, using our favourite flowers and tones that week, but if you'd rather have a surprise, go for an 'Our Choice' Bunch and leave the flower choice up to your florist. If you’re stuck for cool, modern ways to display your new blooms, you can also pick up cleanly designed pots, vases and other accessories while you’re there.

South London: New Covent Garden Flower Market
New Covent Garden flower market is where all the most popular florists in London - from Rebel Rebel to many Columbia Road sellers - get their wholesale flowers. Though they are often only open until 10 in the morning, you can get flowers at an incredible rate.
