In this horrible weather, all you want to do is stay at home and drink lots of warm drinks. We’ve put together a list of events happening this week to excite and entertain, whilst also keeping you indoors!

Crap Film Club presents "Turkish Star Wars"
 
It’s Christmas time so there is a new Star Wars movie in the offing. Crap Film Club will get you in the mood with this showing of Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam (The Man Who Saved the World) a 1982 Turkish science fantasy adventure film. It’s become known as ‘Turkish Star Wars’ because of its notorious use of unauthorized footage from Star Wars and other movies worked into the film, developing a cult following in the process.  This is a special charity screening, will all proceeds of the evening going to Crisis.

Crap Film Club presents "Turkish Star Wars" is on 11 December at The Book Club. Tickets £5.
 
Pop Up Screen  - Elf
 
It’s that time of the year again, when you just have to watch Will Ferrell wearing his adorable elf costume in Elf.  Hackney Showroom has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland for their Christmas Pop Up Cinema. Elf is showing over various dates, so there’s plenty of opportunity to see Ferrell in arguably his most iconic role.
 
Elf is at the Hackney Showroom 12, 17, 20, 23, 24 December. Tickets from £10.

Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion
 
Famous jazz venue Ronnie Scott’s hosts a monthly blues show. Co-led by pianist/vocalist Paddy Milner and explosive funk, blues and jazz guitarist Tony Remy (Incognito, Annie Lennox and Craig David), the band play a range of music from across the states, including classics from Clapton, BB King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Albert King.
 
Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion is on 17 December at Ronnie Scotts. Tickets from £25.
 
How To Win Against History
 
This is a daring new musical based on the life of the 5th Marquis of Anglesey. Seiriol Davies writes and stars in this tale of riches, power and cross-dressing, that celebrates a life that defied the norms.  A great alternative to all your other Christmas shows!
 
How To Win Against History is at the Young Vic until the 30 December. Tickets from £20.
