The View from The Shard: Kids Go Free

There’s no denying it – the Shard is very tall. It offers an unparalleled view of our magnificent capital city, and throughout half-term The View from The Shard are allowing up to two kids free entry for every adult ticket purchased. It’s a great offer so, with the days getting longer and (touch wood) the skies getting clearer, why not seize the day and soak up the view?

Deposit – Hampstead Downstairs

Matt Hartley’s play returns to Hampstead Theatre’s Downstairs studio space, two years after it’s debut there. It follows a year in the lives of two couples sharing a one-bed flat in Herne Hill, and their daily struggles will be instantly familiar to almost anyone aged 25-35 that has called London home in the last 6 years. It’s bleak at times, but is a superbly acted and well-observed depiction of the affordable housing crisis.

Deposit is at Hampstead Theatre until June 10. Tickets are £10-20.

Central Saint Martins 2017 Degree Show

What do the youth of today have to say for themselves though? Central Saint Martins Degree Show gives you the chance find out. Check out work from the renowned art school’s various specialisms – Fine Art, Art and Science and Photography – and discover the voices of the future of British Art. It’s free, it’s inspiring and it’s provocative.

Central Saint Martins 2017 Degree Show is on at Central Saint Martins, King's Cross, and runs from May 24-28 . Entry is free.

Feria de Londres

Tapas; flamenco; gazpacho; sangria – the Feria de Londres festival is bringing the Andalucian spirit to Potters Fields Park, under Tower Bridge, all weekend. Food stalls serving churros, tortillas and all sorts of classic tapas dishes will be lining the banks of the Thames whilst live entertainment comes in the form of Flamenco dancing and Spanish musicians. There’s face painting, arts and crafts, hair styling and dance classes for little ones as well. Olé!   

Feria de Londres takes place in Potters Field Park, Tower Bridge, from May 27-28. Entry is free.
