Now that Autumn has well and truly started, you’ll want to fill up your diaries with lots of fun to stave off those seasonal blues. Luckily, there’s tonnes going on this week, from cinema screenings to comedy poetry and amazing vintage fairs. We’ve put together a quick run down of quirky fun to help get you through the week.

Eggbreak

It’s Egg Week this week (who would have thought it!) so why not explore the world of eggs by visiting Eggbreak.  This sweet café, specialising in all things egg, serve a range of egg-based treats, from shakshuka to crab cakes with poached egg, sriracha and spinach.  There are also non-egg options for anyone who doesn’t fancy it, like granola and coconut chia pots.  What better way to celebrate such a special occasion!

Eggbreak can be found at 30 Uxbridge St, Kensington, London W8 7TA. Open everyday 8am – 7pm.

Absolute Giganten - Deptford Cinema

Deptford Cinema is a not-for-profit community led project that built a new venue for film and arts on Deptford Broadway. The cinema has a broad and varied programme, led by a large group of volunteers who can suggest events or seasons of film.  As part of a season of German films in collaboration with the Goethe Institut London, Deptford Cinema will show Absolute Giganten (1999) directed by Sebastian Schipper, on Monday 9 October.  The film follows three friends as they explore a sleepy Hamburg suburb on the eve of their friend’s departure. Schipper gained rave reviews for his 2015 film Victoria; don’t miss a chance to catch some of his early work in this innovative cinema space.

Absolute Giganten is at the Deptford Cinema, Monday 9 October at 8:00pm. Tickets £3.50.
