Tango Fire

What’s On Stage This Week: 28 January

26 January 2019 Billie Manning

Spotlight On: Tango Fire
Fancy adding some fire to your week? Award-winning Tango Fire is returning to the Peacock, and it’s sure you warm you up. Showcasing the history of authentic Argentine tango, from its origins in the streets and tango houses of Buenos Aires to contemporary interpretations, Tango Fire stars the internationally renowned Germán Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi, who as well as lending their choreographic talents to creating the dances, will be showcasing a brand new solo. They will be joined by five other couples who will take the audience through the many various styles, moods and histories of Argentine tango with the help of fiery musicians Tango Fuego Quartet, who will be playing the music of all the great tango masters livee - including Piazzolla, Pugliese and Gardel. Despite the setting of a cold winter's night in London, Tango Fire's exhilarating passion and extraordinary technical skill will inject heat into any evening.
