Running from 10 September - 6 November

The UK’s largest pan-Asian literature festival – the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival - touches down in London from 10 September, showcasing writing from Turkey to Tokyo alongside stories from the diaspora. There will be an exploration of the role of women in today’s society, a reflection on the social and political trends that are sweeping across the world’s fastest changing continent and an examination on different strands of British Asian identity.

The emphasis on women’s voices and stories ties in with this year marking 100 years of women’s suffrage in the UK. Speakers Mishal Husain, Elif Shafak, Sherin Khankan and Nikita Gill are just some of the remarkable women that are making strides in their respective fields and writing about their experiences.

This may be the year of celebrating women but there are also some fantastic male writers – from Abir Mukherjee and Jeffrey Archer discussing their writing and love of India to Louis de Bernières talking to Bhavit Mehta about setting parts of his novels in colonial Ceylon.

Alongside an exciting array of talks, don’t miss an evening of scary storytelling at Rich Mix on 31st October and your chance to ‘journey’ through Mongolia with free food and vodka tasting on 17th October.

Starting from 10 September until 6 November, book now and get 20% off by entering 'LONDON' as a promotional code!
